Hi, I’m Richard Briggs, a Commercial and Fine Art Photographer based in Marlborough, New Zealand. I’m known as Brigsie by most of my clients.
I have a small studio, I love portraiture and food photography in equal measure and I’m really good at showcasing your business or product with professional quality photos that speak the story you need to tell. I shoot 8 weddings each year (see below) for lovely people and I work commercially for many of the Marlborough’s leading businesses, Marketing Executives, Magazines and Publications.
I’m a husband, a proud father to two amazing young men who make me very proud and an ex marketing executive from London. I have twenty years of commercial photography experience and I love people almost as much as I love the landscape, of the beautiful region I live in.
I owned my first Nikon camera (F) aged 8 and have lived my entire life with a camera either in my hand or in my bag.
I work predominantly in commercial, portrait, studio product and food photography, with many of Marlborough’s businesses and families and I also love Landscape and Fine Art Portraiture work.
I’m known for my professionalism, my friendly approach, and the quality of my work . . . delivered promptly. I’m well priced, regionally trusted to deliver a great product and I’m well connected.

Terms and Conditions - The Small Print
Usage licence fee – There isn’t one!!
All clients (as named on my charged invoice) receive full ‘unlimited usage rights’ on all photographs supplied by me to them (not including Landscape & Stock images unless by prior agreement). Richard Briggs Photography trading as E I (2015) Limited retains copyright on all photographic work, unless purchased by arrangement.
If a client wishes to share images supplied by Richard Briggs Photography, permission must be requested with full use disclosure to allow Richard to establish if a fee is in order.
© Copyright purchase – charged at $25 per image.
Where possible, Richard asks that clients kindly supply a credit when using photographs supplied with free multi usage licence. A credit should read – Photo Supplied by Richard Briggs. When posting images on social media, please use the hash tag – #richard_briggs_photo
Images supplied commercially shall not be re-produced as works of art or shared for re-sale or re-use by a third party without prior permission from Richard.
Stock photo’s / individually commissioned photos – $99.00 plus GST each (incl: shoot time, post editing, travel withing 30 kms)

The Photographer (Richard Briggs) retains the right in all cases to use photographs taken by him, for the purposes of advertising or otherwise promoting his work, after an exclusivity period of 6 weeks from the shoot date, on the following social media platforms:

Cancellation Policy – Event Photography.
Applicable only where a written quote has been supplied, accepted in writing or verbally.
Any client that cancels their reservation / booking for event photography within 90 days of the event following confirmation of booking in writing or verbally must pay a 25% cancellation fee. The cancellation fee is based on the originally quoted price for event photography, including any non – refundable travel fees and admin time incurred. Payment is due upon receipt of invoice within 7 working days.
NB: Where an event is cancelled due to Covid-19 or events including earthquakes or other natural disasters, there will be no cancellation fee.
Cancellation Policy – Other photography
Any client that cancels their reservation / booking for photography within 7 days of the booking / shoot date following confirmation of booking in writing or verbally must pay a flat cancellation fee of $75.00 unless a new date for photography has been set. This cancellation fee is to cover time incurred for admin and or travel fuel etc.
Payment is due upon receipt of invoice within 7 working days.
NB: Where an event is cancelled due to Covid-19 related issues or events including earthquakes or other natural disasters, there will be no cancellation fee.
Important information - Invoices are sent on completion of work being carried out and images being delivered via dropbox.
Any invoices not paid within 7 days or by prior agreement on the 20th of the following month, will incur a daily unpaid fee of 0.8% of the invoice total, plus a $25.00 default fee to cover time spent chasing the payment. Unpaid & Default fees will be invoiced separately following payment and described as a late payment fee. Ref: Credit Contract and Consumer Finance Act (CCCFA) New Zealand.

Boutique Weddings are for weddings with less than 100 guests.
1. Silver Package – $2250.00 plus GST (Deposit $200.00) - My most popular package.

3. Mini Wedding – $1395.00 plus GST (Deposit $100.00)
For those who do things really small, I offer a mini deal!

Up to 3 hours shoot time

Candid pre ceremony photos

Wedding ceremony
Group photos
Minimum of 150 professionally edited photos, ready to print
Photos shared via dropbox / cloud
4. Engagement Photo Shoot – $350.00 plus GST
Includes:
Engagement photo shoot in Marlborough region
Up to 2.0 hours of shoot time
30 - 40 high resolution pro edited photos ready to print

NB: All weddings and other shoots are subject to travel time/costs and fuel expenses. Please check my pricing for further details.
Weddings are shot and the best images are edited within each package. I don’t work via a proof set of images.
